By training a museologist, by calling a public servant, and by conviction an advocate for community abroad. This office exists to gather the record of that work: years spent building a home for Democrats abroad in the Netherlands, and a life spent in service of the institutions — civic, cultural, and communal — that hold people together across distance.

The Office

Tré Griffin-Noordermeer holds a Master's in Museology from the Reinwardt Academy and a Bachelor's in Political Science — a pairing that shapes how this office approaches its work: with an eye for how institutions preserve what matters, and a hand in building the ones that don't yet exist.

Based in Leiden with a husband, a dog, and a decade of governance experience behind them, they bring the same care to a Pride boat on the Amsterdam canals as to a fireside chat with an ambassador.

The style of Lord is held through a Lordship of the Manor — a legal, heritable title tied to land ownership in the United Kingdom, distinct from a peerage and separate from any title of nobility granted by the Crown.

Areas of Work

Community organizing and member outreach for Americans abroad; event direction for civic and cultural gatherings; correspondence and public communications; and advisory service to Dutch cultural and language institutions.
